Before Body Reboot Blueprint (BRB)
Sandra started the Crush Your Sugar Craving Challenge (July 2020) which I saw on Facebook. My weight has gone up and down for several years, so I was looking for something that wasn’t a diet to go on and off.
There is a lot of information out there. About ¾ the way through BRB I realized that I had “6 o’clock news” knowledge – where you know what’s out there – what worked for a friend of a friend, what applies to most people. I’ve been on lots of diets, from weight watchers to liquid protein and have always had initial success. This is the first time I feel like it might be sustainable for long term. Many diets require so much measuring and recording that it gets tedious and meaningless after a short time. BRB made all that simple.
How Body Reboot Blueprint Transformed my Life
You can’t always rely on the scale to measure your progress. For me personally having a variety of foods and recipes helped keep me satisfied. Having satisfying meals means I’m not looking for snacks and sweets for satisfaction.
Prior to BRB starting, Sandra initially led a 3-Day “Crush Your Sugar” challenge and I lost about 24 lbs in about 2 months. My fasting blood sugars are consistently lower than 130 (prior over 150s). I’m exercising regularly and have more energy. Every now and then, I have a craving for a favorite dessert, but in general I’ve been surprised that I haven’t had a lot of cravings. On past diets I felt like I was holding my breath while on the diet and soon as I am off the diet I couldn’t wait to eat the things I’ve missed – like sucking in a big breath, I eat the wrong things, and more than I should.
BRB is totally different. This is not a diet. It is a great introduction to a healthier lifestyle.
Sandra is very approachable. I didn’t feel any judgement from her – just willing to provide what I need. She was able to provide examples from her own life to highlight issues.
My Life Now
For me, the next logical step was to continue working with Sandra 1:1 with private coaching. As I continue losing weight (32 lbs in 3 1/2 months) and reaching my longer term goals, I am gaining so much knowledge on how to build healthy life habits and sustain my weight loss.
