Believe it or not, even dietitians are not immune to stress eating. As many of you know, I have maintained a 20-25 lb weight loss since 2004. Over the past couple of years, stress eating became more of an issue more than I wanted to admit to myself – much less acknowledge in public.
I knew I had to take real action when my 5 lb window of allowable weight gain turned into 10 lbs with the potential for more! Yikes!
It was a battle to gain control, and I realized that I must remain intentional and mindful daily to keep my weight under control. Looking back, I will say that I was getting stronger every time I fell down. It’s difficult to see progress when you feel defeated, but the key is getting back in the game and not giving up. The desired results WILL come!
