My History With Dieting and Health Concerns…

My biggest concern going into this challenge was my ability to remain disciplined and consistent during the challenge. I have struggled in the past in completing challenges such as this one however this one was different. My biggest takeaway is that I don’t have to have an “all or nothing” mindset. If I have a “hiccup” it doesn’t mean that my efforts are in vain. I experienced a weight loss of approximately 1.5 lbs. However, I realized that it was more than the weight loss that I experienced. I was less bloated and my energy level increased. I also experienced improvement in my sleep (which is very important for me).

Working With Sandra…

The mid-day chats with Sandra were beneficial as it allowed us to all gather together and share our experiences. I’ve often found that I have more success in lifestyle changes if I have accountability with a group. This is why I decided to sign up to have a complementary one on one with Sandra. I realized that I had to address my relationship with food. The one thing that resonated with me during the challenge is that I can still enjoy food however make healthier choices. The recipes that were shared during the challenge were amazing especially the roasted butternut squash soup…yum yum.

My Life Now…

It was during my one on one with Sandra that I decided to make that investment in my health. I am so looking forward to working with Sandra. I recognized that I was looking at healthier eating especially the meal prep as a chore and it is not. It is a part of my wellness journey that I must embrace and I am.
